Russia's Nizhny Novgorod Oblast plans to create a new ministry for the protection of facilities, primarily tasked with defending sites against Ukrainian drones. Governor Gleb Nikitin signed a decree amending the regional government's structure on 30 May.

New Ministry Details

The new ministry, along with the region's Ministry of Energy and Housing and Utilities, will be overseen by Deputy Prime Minister Vladimir Tuzhilin. The decree also brings two officials under the supervision of one of the deputy governors, with one official overseeing issues related to the special military operation.
