CBS is reviving 'Undercover Boss' with host Drew Carey and adding two new unscripted programs, 'Stacks of Cash' and '24 Hour Millionaire,' to its lineup.

CBS announced on Wednesday that it is expanding its unscripted programming slate with the return of 'Undercover Boss' and the addition of two new series. Drew Carey will serve as host for the 12th season of 'Undercover Boss,' which has been off the air since 2022. The network also greenlit 'Stacks of Cash,' a game show hosted by Mike O’Malley, and '24 Hour Millionaire,' a competition series.

Undercover Boss Revival

The network is producing a refreshed version of 'Undercover Boss,' which originally debuted in 2010 and previously won Emmy Awards for outstanding reality program in 2012 and 2013. While previous seasons did not feature a host, Drew Carey will join the series for its return. The show will continue its format of corporate executives going undercover as everyday workers to observe their own companies. The series is currently in pre-production and is produced by Studio Lambert.

New Reality and Game Shows

The new game show 'Stacks of Cash' features six contestants answering trivia questions to earn blocks, which they must stack toward a 'gold line' without letting their towers fall. The series, hosted by Mike O’Malley, has already completed filming and is currently in post-production. Additionally, '24 Hour Millionaire' will feature contestants competing in physical and strategic challenges over a continuous 24-hour period for a $1 million prize. This series is produced by 'Big Brother' executive producers Allison Grodner and Rich Meehan and is currently in pre-production.
