Comedian Russell Howard has revealed that his baby son, Felix, died shortly after birth earlier this year. Howard and his wife, Cerys, had not previously announced they were expecting their second child. In a statement, Howard described the experience as the most devastating time of their lives.

Support and the Felix Foundation

Howard praised the hospital staff who cared for them, specifically highlighting a bereavement midwife named Lauren. He noted that the use of a 'cool cot' allowed him and his wife to spend precious hours with their son after his death. To support other families facing similar circumstances, the couple is launching The Felix Foundation. The organization will provide assistance to those affected by miscarriage, premature birth, stillbirth, neonatal death, or related bereavement.

Upcoming Comedy Fundraiser

A comedy fundraiser is scheduled for next year to benefit the new foundation. Comedians including Michael McIntyre, Jimmy Carr, Aisling Bea, John Bishop, and Mo Gilligan are set to perform at the event. Howard stated that these fellow comics are donating their time to the show free of charge.
