Many of these individuals, who grew up believing they were only children, have connected through DNA testing websites. While some have struggled with the revelation, others have formed a close-knit group, holding reunions and building relationships over the past decade.

Connecting through shared traits and history

The group, who refer to themselves as the "Charny sibs," have noted shared physical traits such as high cheekbones and prominent foreheads. Many also share a background in medicine, with 13 doctors among the identified siblings, despite none having parents who were physicians. Members of the group have attended prestigious institutions including Harvard, MIT, Yale, Penn, and Johns Hopkins.
