Israeli settlers have targeted Palestinian villages in the West Bank with arson and graffiti, following a violent confrontation that left six people dead.

Israeli settlers attacked Palestinian villages in the occupied West Bank on Sunday, setting fire to mosques and vandalizing buildings with graffiti. These incidents followed a violent confrontation on Friday near the village of Tal, southwest of Nablus, which resulted in the deaths of four Palestinians and two Israelis, including a security coordinator for a nearby settlement.

Friday Confrontation Near Tal

The violence began when a group of nearly 30 settlers approached the village of Tal, near the Havat Gilad settlement. According to reports, settlers attempted to enter homes, leading to a standoff with local residents. During the ensuing clash, shots were fired by both sides, and video footage showed a Palestinian man seizing a rifle from a settler before being shot by soldiers. In total, four Palestinians and two Israelis were killed, and four people were reported wounded.

Settler Attacks and Military Response

Following the deaths, settlers carried out attacks in multiple locations, including torching a mosque in Qusra and attempting to set fire to another near Kour. Attackers reportedly sprayed Hebrew slogans, such as "Jewish revenge," on the walls of the targeted buildings. In response to the escalating violence, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu ordered a security operation to search villages, seize weapons, and conduct arrests, while deploying additional military units across the West Bank.
