Berlin-based brand Ottolinger unveiled its Spring 2027 collection, titled 'Moisturizer,' during a recent runway show. Designers Christa Bösch and Cosima Gadient drew inspiration from the private rituals of skincare and personal preparation. The collection marks a shift toward a softer, more sensual aesthetic while maintaining the brand's signature deconstructed style.

Design and Material Focus

The collection features fine silk-viscose jersey, faux furs, and sheer fabrics designed to cling to the body. Key pieces include low-slung trousers with exposed underwear bands, hoodies layered under blazers, and dresses held by padded tubes. The designers emphasized fit and cut, creating garments that appear weightless, such as denim pieces featuring transparent panels.

Streamlined Creative Process

Bösch and Gadient noted that the collection reflects a shift in their production cycle, moving from four wholesale seasons to two. This change allowed the duo more time to focus on developing specific ideas rather than rushing through production. Gadient stated that this streamlined approach enabled them to delve deeper into their creative concepts.

Runway Presentation

The runway show featured several unconventional moments, including a model filming the event with a 1990s-style camcorder. Rapper Offset participated in the show, pausing during his walk to smoke, while Heidi Klum served as the closing model.
