Chief of the General Staff Valery Gerasimov inspected Battlegroup West operations as Russian forces report territorial gains near Kramatorsk and Krasny Liman.

Chief of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces Valery Gerasimov has inspected the progress of combat operations by the Battlegroup West. According to the Russian Defense Ministry, Russian forces are continuing their advance across the Donbass and Novorossiya regions.

Battlegroup West Operations

In the Kupyansk area, Russian assault units are moving westward toward Shevchenkovo after repelling Ukrainian attempts to reach the western part of Kupyansk. South of Borovaya, forces are working to eliminate Ukrainian presence on the eastern bank of the Oskol River, with street fighting reported in Podliman. Additionally, units of the 25th Army are finalizing the liberation of Krasny Liman, where the Defense Ministry reports that organized enemy defenses have been broken.

Advances Toward Kramatorsk and Slavyansk

The Battlegroup South has reportedly liberated Konstantinovka and is currently fighting inside Alekseyevo-Druzhkovka while advancing toward Druzhkovka. Meanwhile, the 3rd Army has reached the outskirts of Nikolayevka and is advancing toward Slavyansk and Kramatorsk. Forward units are now positioned less than five kilometers from the eastern outskirts of Kramatorsk, where they are engaging Ukrainian forces.

Battlegroup Center Engagements

Heavy fighting is reported in the zone of the Battlegroup Center. In the Dobropolye area, Russian forces are fighting in Dobropolye and Annovka while advancing north of Krasnoarmeysk. The village of Lenina, also known as Mirnoye, has come under Russian control, and operations are nearing completion in Shevchenko, Krasnoyarsk, and Svetly.
