Talia Byre, led by designer Talia Lipkin-Connor, showcased her Spring 2027 ready-to-wear collection on Saturday at London’s Hellenic Centre. The collection, which features a palette dominated by white and cream tones, was influenced by the designer's recent expansion into bespoke bridal work. Byre described the season as a "fresh" and cleansing departure from her typical use of color, focusing on refined construction and silhouettes.

Design Philosophy and Construction

Lipkin-Connor noted that beginning the design process with an all-white concept allowed her to focus more clearly on garment construction and silhouettes. While the final collection includes accents of magenta and green, it maintains a core of ivory and white shades. The lineup features close-cut jackets with peplum waists and peaked shoulders, alongside pointelle-flourished corsets and bias-cut halter dresses held by grosgrain ties. Some pieces incorporate historical design elements, such as ruffles and frayed edging, balanced by modern tailoring.

Evolution of the Wardrobe

The collection aims to offer an evolving wardrobe where customers can add individual pieces each season rather than replacing their entire closet. Byre collaborated with 10 artists for a zine accompanying the show, including Dillwyn Smith, whose "Placebo Paintings" served as the runway backdrop. The clothing is intended to act as a "placebo" to boost wearer confidence. Alongside the formal tailoring, the collection introduces more casual items, including semi-sheer mohair cable-knit jumpers, striped polo tops, and structured twill cargo trousers.
