Ukrainian drone attacks across multiple Russian regions resulted in eight deaths and targeted key infrastructure, including a Wildberries warehouse and military facilities.

Ukrainian drone strikes killed at least eight people across several Russian regions over the weekend. The attacks targeted diverse locations, including a Wildberries warehouse in the Samara region, residential areas in Saratov, and industrial facilities in Udmurtia and Belgorod. Russia's Defense Ministry reported downing 635 drones during the overnight period.

Targeting Infrastructure and Retail

In the Samara region, a drone strike hit a warehouse belonging to Wildberries, Russia's largest online retailer. Governor Vyacheslav Fedorishchev reported no casualties from the strike, though a fire broke out at the site. Ukrainian forces have targeted approximately a dozen Wildberries locations since July 18, aiming to disrupt the company's operations. Separately, Kyiv's military confirmed strikes on an oil refinery in Saratov and a military airbase in Engels. Governor Roman Busargin reported that two people were killed in a residential building in Engels, with additional damage to civil infrastructure in both Saratov and Engels.

Casualties Across Russian Regions

Beyond the Saratov region, drone attacks caused further fatalities. Acting Governor Olga Abramova reported three deaths and two injuries in the republic of Udmurtia. In the border region of Belgorod, a local task force confirmed three deaths and five injuries. Additionally, the governor of Bashkortostan, Radiy Khabirov, stated that air defense units repelled a drone attack on industrial facilities near Ufa.

Military Actions in Ukraine

Russia's Defense Ministry stated that its forces conducted strikes on infrastructure and two vessels carrying military cargo in the Ukrainian port of Mykolaiv, as well as a vessel in the Black Sea. In the city of Zaporizhzhia, regional Governor Ivan Fedorov reported that Russian glide bombs killed one person and injured 21 others.
