Reality television personality Ariana Madix is set to star in and executive produce a new science fiction drama series currently in development at Peacock.

Ariana Madix, known for her roles on Bravo’s Vanderpump Rules and as the host of Peacock’s Love Island USA, has been cast in a new drama series titled Future Housewives. The project is currently in development at Peacock and is being produced by Brannon Braga and Seth MacFarlane’s production company, Fuzzy Door. Madix will also serve as an executive producer on the series through her newly launched production house, Over Fences.

Premise and Production

The series is set in an asteroid colony called New Beverly Hills, described as a decadent environment where wealthy socialites manage interplanetary scandals, rivalries, and bioengineered beauty routines. The plot follows a young outsider who disrupts this society, serving as a satire of reality television tropes. Brannon Braga, known for his work on the Star Trek franchise and The Orville, is writing the series and executive producing alongside Madix, MacFarlane, and Erica Huggins. Virtual reality expert Jaron Lanier is attached as a co-executive producer, with Universal Global Television serving as the studio.

Madix's Career Background

Future Housewives represents the first scripted project in development from Madix’s production company, Over Fences. Her previous acting credits include Broadway appearances in Chicago and Just in Time, as well as roles in the film Buying Back My Daughter and television series such as St. Denis Medical and Will Trent. She also appeared in sketches for CollegeHumor and Dropout.
