New York Liberty star Sabrina Ionescu has partnered with travel brand Away to release a limited-edition luggage collection featuring designs inspired by her career.

New York Liberty guard Sabrina Ionescu has collaborated with travel brand Away to release a signature luggage collection. The partnership marks the first athlete collaboration for the company. The collection, which launched today, features designs that reflect Ionescu’s professional journey and personal roots.

Collection Details and Design

The limited-edition line includes the Aluminum Edge Trunk, priced at $618, and the Aluminum Edge Bigger Carry-On, priced at $468. These items are available in two colors: No. 20 Pine, which references Ionescu’s time at the University of Oregon, and No. 20 Legacy, which represents her current tenure with the New York Liberty. The collection also features the PackAway Checked Compression Closet for $138 and a Large Shoe Cube for $48 in No. 20 Salt White. Design elements include Ionescu’s signature on the interior and on the luggage tag. The tag also features the quote, “Wake up, grind, get better.” According to Quynh Dang, Away’s VP of brand, the collaboration aims to support the travel needs of athletes who are constantly in motion.

Reflecting on her professional career, Ionescu noted that the mental and physical demands of travel in the WNBA were a significant adjustment from her college experience. She emphasized the importance of recovery, citing the use of Normatec boots as a travel essential. Regarding her current season with the Liberty, Ionescu described it as a "roller coaster" that included recovering from an injury that sidelined her for the first month of play. Ionescu credited her preparation and the influence of veteran teammates like Breanna Stewart and Courtney Vandersloot for helping her maintain performance levels. Looking ahead, she stated her focus remains on finishing the regular season strong and preparing for the postseason.
